Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT), School of Nursing, offers a Bachelor of Science Nursing program that aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for leadership roles in nursing practice, education, healthcare administration, and research. Graduates of the program are prepared to demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and integration of these skills into nursing practice. The program has experienced growth in both student enrollment and staffing, leading to infrastructural expansion in terms of classrooms, offices, and laboratories. Graduates of the School of Nursing have been successful in the job market, both locally and internationally, showcasing their competence and versatility. The School is also in the process of developing a Master of Science in Nursing program with various specialties, such as critical care, renal, medical-surgical nursing, mental health and psychiatric nursing, and reproductive health nursing. This initiative demonstrates DeKUT’s commitment to advancing nursing education and producing highly skilled professionals who can excel in various healthcare settings.

Minimum Entry Requirements
The applicant must be a Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) OR Kenya Registered Nurse/ Midwife (KRN/KRM/PH). Must be currently registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and posses a valid Nursing Council of Kenya practice license with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience. In addition the candidate must possess Either :
i. A Minimum entry of C ( plain) in KCSE
ii. Division II in KCE
